Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a driven Trouble Shooter to strengthen our Maintenance & Engineering team. In this role, you take ownership of complex and non-standard technical irregularities within the daily operation of the Brussels Airlines fleet. You coordinate troubleshooting activities, monitor aircraft systems and predictive tools, and help prevent recurrence, negative trends or AOG risks. You are a trusted technical partner for flight crew, maintenance and engineering colleagues. And that could be you! Curious what your responsibilities would look like?

  • Perform troubleshooting services in accordance with MOE, CAME, Pro X, OEM data and EASA/NAA regulations
  • Coordinate technical troubleshooting requirements in daily fleet operations
  • Perform ad-hoc and in-depth troubleshooting with a structured, systematic approach
  • Provide technical assistance to flight crew and maintenance staff
  • Monitor aircraft systems using tools such as Aviatar, FDM data, ECTM, lab results, post-flight reports and open work orders
  • Identify negative trends, recurrence or AOG risks and take appropriate action
  • Follow up and screen MEL items for further troubleshooting steps
  • Create, follow up and resolve troubleshooting cases for individual aircraft and repetitive issues
  • Support Engineering with field experience and operational insights
  • Brief and debrief line maintenance engineers and mechanics
  • Monitor and evaluate troubleshooting actions performed by maintenance
  • Recommend and support technical and process improvements in close cooperation with Engineering
  • Take ownership of complex or non-standard technical irregularities
  • Document new or complex problems with a final technical summary
  • Report operational and fleet-wide technical deficiencies to the relevant stakeholders
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the department

Where do you land?

You’ll be part of the Maintenance & Engineering team — a passionate and committed group that plays a key role in ensuring every flight is safe, enjoyable and on time. From nose to tail, our technicians and engineers keep our aircraft in top condition in an environment shaped by ownership, strong leadership and teamwork.
You will report directly to the CAMO MCC Manager (functional) and the P145 Planning Manager (disciplinary).

 

Your profile

  • Bachelor degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent relevant experience in aircraft maintenance (EASA Part-66 license)
  • Minimum 5 years of B1/B2 or equivalent relevant experience
  • Good knowledge of EASA Part-M, Part-145 and Part-66
  • Active aircraft type ratings operated by Brussels Airlines are a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a structured, methodical approach
  • Operational awareness and excellent decision-making skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, even under time pressure
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills in English, written and spoken
  • Proficiency in MS Office; AMOS knowledge is a plus
  • Reliable, motivated and well-organised, with a strong personality
