Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a talented Head of Social Relations who will lead and own all industrial relations activities within Brussels Airlines. As our chief negotiator and internal authority on labour law, you play a key role in shaping a stable and constructive social climate, while safeguarding business continuity and long‑term strategy. You work closely with senior leadership, unions and internal stakeholders, balancing empathy with clarity and authority. And that could be you! Curious what your responsibilities would look like?

  • Own and lead all labour negotiations at company and sector level
  • Define negotiation strategies, objectives and fallback scenarios within an agreed mandate
  • Act as lead negotiator in discussions with unions and social partners
  • Chair all formal consultation bodies, including Works Council and Committees
  • Ensure structured preparation, clear communication and effective follow‑up of social dialogue
  • Anticipate and manage industrial relations risks in close collaboration with business leadership
  • Act as trusted advisor to leadership on social relations matters
  • Ensure strong alignment between industrial relations strategy and labour law application
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external legal experts to ensure pragmatic and business-oriented solutions Lead and develop the Social Relations team, fostering ownership, clarity and collaboration

Your profile

  • Master’s degree, preferably in Law
  • Extensive experience in industrial relations and collective negotiations in complex environments
  • Proven experience as lead negotiator
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate strategy into execution
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • High resilience and ability to perform under pressure
  • Balanced profile combining empathy with firmness and authority
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English; French is a plus
  • Ability to operate autonomously within a defined mandate
