Country Manager Liberia (Monrovia)

Mission 

The country manager is responsible for the overall management of the African country that he/she has been assigned to, including commercial teams, security, ground ops teams, finance and HR.  Decisions are taken in close coordination with HQ, in order to reach defined revenue, service and quality targets, respecting budget at all times.

Tasks

  • Organize, motivate and lead the commercial team to reach maximal revenues and route profitability through:
    • Implementation of defined sales strategies & commercial procedures
    • Implementation of adapted commission & agency incentive policy
    • Organization of promotions, events, …in order to increase our visibility and sales in a positive way
    • Increase of direct sales
    • Launching of sales actions, agency visits, seminars, training , …
  • Ensure an efficient, sales oriented & customer friendly local organization through:
    • Smart staff selection & remuneration, training & yearly evaluation,
    • Practical set-up of the station
  • Ensure effective and timely support from all head-office functions such as finance, accounting, HR, controlling, marketing, IT, customer relations, product, pricing & revenue management for his country.
  • Ensure the correct & timely application of all company guidelines within the local organization for commercial, accounting & operational departments through controlling & use of follow-up tools.
  • Initiates & maintains a positive relationship with country officials, diplomatic corps, press, relevant corporate & local unions in order to optimally protect at all times our interests, (financial & others) our image and to ensure highest possible safety & security for staff, customers & company assets.
  • Monitor own & agency sales in order to organize corrective measure

Profile

  • You optained a master degree in Marketing, Economics, etc with in addition an MBA or equivalent by experience
  • You have experience in sales and operations. 
  • You already managed a team, or you have the capacity to do this. 
  • You've built up know-how of tourism and the airline industry 
  • You can show leadership
  • You have analytical, negotiation and communication skills
  • Solution focus and creativity defines you
  • You have strong language skills, English and French is a must!
  • You are result oriented
