Accounting Manager Outstations

Mission

The accounting manager manages, leads and coordinates the insourced finance teams in the decentralized longhaul outstations (16 countries in Aftrica, US and Russia) as well as the outsourced partner (India)

Tasks

  • Ensure the general support functions in all longhaul outstations:
    Active involvement and follow-up on local finance responsibles
    • to ensure general support to the longhaul stations in terms of accounting, administration, HR, treasury, tax and controlling and
    • to ensure compliance and quality of the delivered services
  • Guarantee the financial processes for longhaul outstations:
    • Ensure local tax and accounting compliance and provide support for audits
    • Pro-active management of timely cash repatriation and credit control
    • Constantly review team structure, way of working, manage the administrative part of opening/closing of outstations
    • Manage a team abroad throughout Africa and US, and develop adequate training, back-up plans in case of prolonged absences, etc
  • Coordination of Local Business Partners:
    • Review and manage the relationships with local business partners such as authorities, banks, lawyers, landlords, sales agents, labour consultants, etc

Profile

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Master degree preferred (Finance related)
  • Minimum 5 years of business experience
  • Minimum 3 years of people management experience
  • Interpersonal skills: ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and different cultures
  • Good team and people management skills
  • Able to make fast and pragmatic decisions to deliver adequate support to local teams
  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English and French
  • SAP or other relevant tools, knowledge of airlines systems such as Amadeus, IATA systems, is a must
  • Willing to travel (30%)
