Purpose of the position

This role involves coordinating, supervising, prioritizing, and assuming responsibility for all day-to-day maintenance operations (line & light) and production department resources (manpower, tools, facilities) at Brussels Airlines.

Main tasks & responsibilities:

Safety, Security & Compliance in Production:

  • You will coach and ensure the company's safety and quality standards are met.
  • Monitor and ensure all technical staff within the production department, including cabin and technical support, comply with applicable procedures, identifying and reporting any non-compliance.
  • Enforce health and safety procedures, correct anomalies, and promptly report incidents.

Production Supervision:

  • You will take full responsibility for ensuring the fleet's on-time performance and airworthiness during your shifts, as well as maximizing department productivity in both line and light operations.
  • Develop and ensure clear action plans are communicated, understood, and executed by all staff, coordinating effectively with stakeholders.
  • Ensure efficient shift handovers at all levels and maintain respect for equipment and staff.
  • Actively participate in regular meetings with Production department Management to evaluate and improve procedures, processes, and resources.
  • Maintain proper housekeeping in the maintenance facility.

Coaching:

  • Continuously motivate, assist, and correct staff directly or indirectly reporting to you by actively engaging on the field.
  • Supervise manpower task assignments to maximize productivity while promoting knowledge transfer and continuous experience building.
  • Evaluate team leaders and technicians under your supervision.

Additionally, fulfill any other duties as required by the production manager for the safe and punctual departure of aircraft.

Your Profile:

  • You have a minimum A2 level, preferably from aviation school or equivalent experience.
  • You possess a minimum of 5 years' experience as B1 or B2.
  • You demonstrate the ability to approach situations or problems in a structured, methodological, and logical manner.
  • You exhibit strong analytical skills and effective communication abilities.
  • You excel in English verbal and written skills; knowledge of Dutch or French is an asset.
  • You are proficient in essential MS Office products (Word, Excel), with knowledge of AMOS considered a plus.
  • You display coaching, organizational, and team player skills.
  • You maintain a precise and detailed approach to tasks.
  • You demonstrate clear and concise communication, both written and verbal.
  • You show initiative and persistence in task completion.
  • You possess decision-making ability, flexibility, and stress resistance.
