Purpose of the position

Within the Brussels Airlines Maintenance team, you will disassemble, service and assemble aircraft components covered by the Brussels Airlines component shop capability and replace parts if necessary.  All maintenance is performed within stringent norms of tolerance and precision, according to established procedures and using the approved and calibrated tools and equipment.

Preventive and curative maintenance on ground support equipment in compliance with the equipment manufacturer specification. Providing assistance to production by handling non-aircraft related tasks, such as towing, engine preparation before installation or shipping, and other non-aircraft operational

Main tasks & responsibilities:

  • Aircraft component maintenance:

    • Ensure that the safety and quality standards as set by the company are obtained
    • Executes disassembly, assembly and overhaul works on component related items according to a Component Capability List following the technical documentation of the component manufacturer
    • Administer a compliant set of reporting (shop visit reports) and follow up measures. Administer inventory and stock of spare-parts in the component shop and order in time additional items

    Ground support equipment maintenance:

    • Executes disassembly, servicing and assembly works on ground support equipment following the technical documentation of the equipment manufacturer
    • Assisting in tooling management

    Any other duty as may be required by the production manager for the safe and punctual departure of the fleet

    Assistance for non-aircraft related tasks:

    • Assist production in general non-aircraft related tasks.
    • Perform Aircraft towing related to Aircraft Maintenance.
    • Assist in engine preparation before engine installation or shipping.

 Your profile

  • Technical Secondary Education level A2 Electric, Electromechanics, Mechanic or equivalent by experience
  • Experience in aircraft or component maintenance is an asset.
  • Technical knowledge and experience with A/C structures and components not required but is an asset
  • Mastery of technical English
  • Ability to approach a situation or problem in a structured, methodological and logical way;
  • Knowledgeable in the essential functions of MS Office products (word, excel) is a plus;
  • Knowledge of AMOS is a plus.

  • Ability to take initiative on a given task and persist with the task to its completion;
