Who are we looking for?
Within our Maintenance & Engineering department at Brussels Airlines, the Warehousing & Logistics Manager will report directly to the Head of Line & Light Maintenance.
The Warehousing & Logistics Manager will play a central role in ensuring the availability, movement and compliance of aircraft materials and components to support uninterrupted maintenance operations. This position requires a hands-on, solution-oriented leader with a deep understanding of logistics in aviation and regulatory compliance.
Therefore, as the Warehousing & Logistics Manager, you will:
- Be responsible for the day-to-day logistics lifecycle for aircraft parts & tooling
- Lead warehousing and inventory control activities, ensuring stock accuracy, traceability, and operational readiness across multiple storage locations
- Ensure full compliance with all customs and dangerous goods regulations (IATA DGR, CBAM, Export Control), maintaining a secure and legally sound logistics operation
- Assure AOG situations are managed outside office hours
- Be responsible for a team of ca. 20 FTE
Tasks:
Warehousing & Inventory
- Lead warehouse operations (H41 & Machelen)
- Ensure traceability, safety and stock accuracy
- Manage part scrapping and define team priorities (incl. AOG & maintenance)
Logistics & Transport
- Oversee global freight (€12M), incl. time‑critical AOG shipments
- Manage logistics providers and agreements
- Ensure tracking, issue resolution and support for Base Maintenance transport
Dangerous Goods & Customs
- Ensure compliance with IATA DGR & local DG regulations
- Manage customs clearance (CBAM, export control, certificates)
- Maintain audit‑ready documentation and liaise with authorities
Compliance & Optimization
- Ensure compliance with EASA/FAA/IATA regulations; lead audits
- Drive lean improvements, digitalization and automation
- Optimize AOG after‑hours process
- Improve KPIs: inventory accuracy, stock value, overdue locations, 24/7 availability, on‑time delivery
- Use data insights to correct inefficiencies and support SMS investigations
- Align with Lufthansa Group partners and maintain procedures
Leadership
- Build a motivating, collaborative team culture
- Coach and develop staff; ensure continuity via deputies
- Lead change with clarity and empathy
- Promote standardization and continuous improvement
Your profile

- Bachelor in Industrial/Civil Engineering and/or Business Administration, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years in logistics/supply chain, ideally within the aviation industry with experience in line or base maintenance operations
- Proven leadership experience
- Strong logistics & airworthiness knowledge
- Understanding of cost accounting & financial impact
- Dangerous Goods & Customs Compliance experience
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Fluent in English; Dutch/French is a plus
- AMOS or ERP knowledge required
- Strong communication & stakeholder management
- Hands‑on, solution‑oriented and adaptable
- Fact‑based decision‑maker with high ownership
- Integrity and fairness in people‑related decisions
